美國加息 陳茂波籲小心管理風險

美國聯邦儲備局宣布加息0.75厘，財政司司長陳茂波表示，香港銀行體系結餘充裕，緩衝強勁，通脹也較為溫和，惟資產價格可能受加息影響，大眾應小心管理風險。   陳茂波今日會見傳媒時表示，美國此次加息幅度為1994年以來最大，但與近日市場預期接近。他觀察到美國通脹率達8.6%，預期未來會持續高企，且當地加息和縮表的步伐仍會持續，令美國以至環球經濟受壓，香港面對外圍市場的風險因素也隨之增加。此外，美國加息會改變國際資金流，一些基本面較弱的經濟體或面臨較大風險，而金融市場波動的風險也會上升。   香港方面，因應美國調高聯邦基金利率的目標區間75基點，香港金融管理局宣布根據預設公式即時上調基本利率至兩厘。   陳茂波指，在聯繫匯率制度下，雖然香港的加息幅度與速度不至於亦步亦趨緊貼美國，但由於港美有息差，本港或會出現套息交易，導致資金流出。然而，他認為本港銀行體系結餘逾2,800億元，緩衝仍然強勁。
